We have just been informed that the Mangyongdae Prize Marathon Committee have decided to re-open the doors to foreign amateur runners for the 2015 Pyongyang Marathon held on April 12, 2015. The Pyongyang Marathon is back on for foreign amateur runners after the Ebola ban was lifted Monday, March 2.
Due to the uncertainty of when the travel restriction will be lifted, the Pyongyang Marathon Committee preemptively made a decision to cancel participation of foreign runners in the Pyongyang Marathon.

Ebola-related border restrictions continue to affect tourism in the DPRK. Earlier in the month, we cancelled our December Masik Pass ski tours and most recently, we have had to cancel our annual New Year’s in DPRK tour that was set to depart from Beijing on December 30. We are receiving some indication, however, that our tours to the DPRK can resume in the new year, and we are hopeful that our January ski tours can run as scheduled.
