This Memorial Day, as we remember and honor all of the brave servicemen and women who have served our country, we pay special tribute to the Korean War Memorial. The Korean War, often called the “forgotten war,” started on June 25, 1950 and ended on July 27, 1953 through the signing of an Armistice Agreement. A peace treaty was never signed. We connected with Chayon Kim this weekend, who claimed she was the founder of the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. She was also the person responsible for brokering the Dennis Rodman and Harlem Globetrotters diplomatic trip to the DPRK this past February. Dennis Rodman and Harlem Globetrotters Use Uri Tours for DPRK Travel

Many of our customers and partners have asked whether Uri Tours was involved in Dennis Rodman’s recently announced trip to the DPRK.  We are happy to say that we did indeed play an important role. Vice and HBO organized this unprecedented visit through their diplomatic liaison. We were engaged later in the process to provide air travel and to consult on certain logistics issues.
