Effects of UN Sanctions and DPRK Threats on Travel
March 8, 2013

At this time we do not believe that the heightened rhetoric by the government of the DPRK will affect the safety of U.S. citizens traveling to the country as tourists.  We continually consult with our legal and business advisors on UN and U.S. rules and regulations concerning travel to the DPRK.  We will continue to keep a close eye on the new developments related to the most recent UN Security Council resolution on the DPRK.

Historically, UN sanctions on the DPRK have focused on military-related individuals and organizations within the DPRK and therefore have not directly affected our business.  As long as the United States allows tourists to travel to the DPRK and as long as we believe that the country is safe for tourism, we expect to continue our operations as usual.  Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have further questions on how the current political situation may affect your travel to the DPRK.
