Dennis Rodman and Harlem Globetrotters Use Uri Tours for DPRK Travel

Many of our customers and partners have asked whether Uri Tours was involved in Dennis Rodman’s recently announced trip to the DPRK. We are happy to say that we did indeed play an important role. Vice and HBO organized this unprecedented visit through their diplomatic liaison. We were engaged later in the process to provide air travel and to consult on certain logistics issues.

In addition to operating tours in the DPRK, we generally consult on DPRK travel and are also the exclusive ticketing agent for Air Koryo in the Americas. Therefore, we are often involved in arranging Pyongyang flights and/or general DPRK consulting for high-profile delegations. We booked flights and offered DPRK travel advice for the Rodman/Globetrotters visit as well as for the Google/Richardson visit.
